Training camp has been a time of growth. I met and quickly became friends with the people on my squad. I am so grateful for how the Lord has led each of us here. These past couple weeks we have been sleeping in tents, taking bucket showers, worshipping, and just spending time together. It has been a time of taking away some of the comforts of everyday life and preparing for life on the field.

These past couple weeks, the Lord has reminded me how to find comfort in Him. I came in with the hope of being a comforter and safe place to others on my team, but as challenges arose, I was reminded that I must first rest in the Lord as my source of comfort. As I began leaning into His care for me as my refuge and strength, I was also able to be comforted by the new community around me. I was reminded that our God is the God who sees. In the midst of challenges and questions, He is safe and steadfast and He is gracious enough to provide people who can also comfort me as well.

Today we are flying out to Nicaragua. I am full of anticipation and excitement, and more than anything am eager to unite around proclaiming the name of Jesus Christ and the gospel. He is the reason for all we do. My hope through this is to bring Him glory. What a gift to have the opportunity to love and serve people out of the love we have received. Please pray for us as we leave!! Pray that our team carries the aroma of Christ everywhere we go, that we work as a united body, and that we love the people around us well.

All for His glory,

Madi Taylor
