I am only two days away from launch! I am feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness, but I am excited more than anything. I am trying to spend as much time as I can with family, while also packing and trying to prepare myself for what lies ahead.
I have been thinking about the opportunity set before me and the kindness of the Father to allow me to join Him in the ministry of reconciliation. His will and work will be done regardless if I go on this mission trip or not. He would continue to work in the people of Costa Rice and Nicaragua and in me if I were not going, yet He invited me to join His Kingdom work in these specific places at this specific time. The Lord wants to use us even though we mess things up most of the time. He is patient with us and chooses us to be His ambassadors in this world. What a gift!
As I am preparing to leave, please pray for safety, deep friendships and community, a newfound trust and dependence on the Lord, that my team and I will grow and be stretched outside of what is comfortable, that the Lord would go before us and lead us in all that we do, and that we will work hard for the sake of being obedient and sharing the gospel, not to see results.
